I just found out about a group in my area called The Inland Northwest Freethought Society through a commenter on this site. I'm really excited about it because I didn't know there were kid friendly groups in our area :) There is a Unitarian Universalist church here, but I'm not too keen on the idea of going to "church". I've had enough church in my lifetime.
Anyway, I went to the website for the freethought society today and found out that Dan Barker is coming to our area! I'm really excited :) I listen to the podcast by the Freedom from Religion Foundation every week while I'm cleaning the house and really enjoy it. (We also purchased a family membership to FFRF recently to celebrate the 4th of July). So, mark November 11 on your calendar if you'll be near Spokane, WA. It should be fun!
