Pledge a Protester

I LOVE this idea :) One of my e-mail subscriptions is to the Planned Parenthood newsletter. They are always worth reading and many times bring things to my attention that I had not been aware of.

Today, the e-mail heading was "Pledge a Protester". This newsletter was a little different from other's I've received because it was specifically regarding our local chapter of Planned Parenthood. It seems as though they have had a problem with protesters harassing staff and patients. So, planned parenthood has come up with an ingenious fund raiser ;)

People are encouraged to pledge a little or a lot, whatever they can do, for each protester in August. Each day Planned Parenthood will show the protesters how much has been pledged so they can see how much they have helped contribute to the cause! This is AWESOME :) I'm sending in my pledge right now!
